Do I have to give details of a change of name or address?
We cannot change your name or address ourselves. Changes in your personal details must be passed on to your municipality.
Once the change has been implemented by your municipality, the details are passed on automatically to the Donor Register. You will not receive a new confirmation of your registration after these changes. This is because only your personal details have been changed, not your choice of whether or not to donate.
Changing the details of the ‘person nominated by me’
If you have decided to let another person decide about donation of your organs and tissues in the event of your death and you want to change their details, you must inform the Donor Register of this by changing your own record. Your choice does not then change: only the details of the person who will decide for you are changed. If you do this, you will receive confirmation by post.
