Mail from the Donor Register
If you have not recorded your choice in the Donor Register yet, from September 2020 we will send you letters to request you to do so. We do not send a letter to everyone in the Netherlands at the same time. Do you want to know when you will receive mail from the Donor Register? View the overview at the bottom of this page.
If you have not recorded a choice in the Donor Register, you will receive a letter by post. How does it work?
- The Donor Register sends people over the age of 18 who have not yet recorded a choice a letter.
- These letters will be sent between September 2020 and early 2021. Not all of this happens at once. This is step by step. People in another part of the Netherlands may receive the letter at a different time.
- If you do not enter anything in the Donor Register after receiving this letter, you will get another letter 6 weeks later.
- If you still do not fill anything in, ‘No objections to organ donation’ will be noted next to your name. You will then receive confirmation of this by post.
Fill in your choice
You don't need to wait for the letter. We only send you a letter to remind you to make a choice. You can read the letter and make a choice now. Then we don't need to send you a letter.
